Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of timebox.watch (the "Service") provided by Timebox ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
• You may not share your account or use someone else's account without permission.
• You may delete your account at any time from your Time Vault.

3. The Service

Timebox is a tool for discovering, curating, and saving watch collections. We provide editorial content, AI-generated descriptions, and curated lists for informational and inspirational purposes only. We are not a watch retailer, broker, or financial advisor. Prices, availability, and specifications shown on the Service may be out of date and should be verified with the manufacturer or authorised dealer before any purchase decision.

4. Editorial content and AI-generated text

Some watch descriptions, summaries, and editorial copy are generated using AI. While we take reasonable steps to ensure accuracy, AI output may contain errors. We do not warrant the completeness or accuracy of any editorial content.

5. User content

Content you create on the Service (saved collections, notes, names) belongs to you. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process this content solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you. We will never publish, sell, or share your private collections without your explicit consent.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, copy, or systematically extract our catalogue or editorial content;
• Reverse-engineer, attack, or attempt to disrupt the Service;
• Submit unlawful, defamatory, or misleading content;
• Use the Service to harass other users or send unsolicited messages;
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity.

7. Paid plans and the TIMEBOX Case

Paid features (collector subscriptions, the physical TIMEBOX Case reservation) are billed via Stripe in the currency shown at checkout. Recurring subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

EU 14-day right of withdrawal: consumers in the EU and UK have the right to withdraw from a digital service purchase within 14 days of purchase, provided the service has not been substantially used. To exercise this right, email hello@timebox.watch within 14 days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days.

For physical goods (TIMEBOX Case), the 14-day withdrawal period begins on the day you receive the goods. The case must be returned in its original condition; return shipping is at your expense.

8. Intellectual property

The Timebox name, logo, design, code, and editorial content are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Watch images, brand names, and trademarks shown on the Service belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Mandatory consumer warranties under EU law are not affected.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Timebox's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100 if you have not paid us anything. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including statutory rights of EU consumers).

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, with reasonable notice except in cases of urgent security or legal risk.

12. Governing law & dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction stated in our Legal Notice, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence within the EU. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or by a notice in the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
